Jo Anne Cornell (Jo) is a paralegal whose area of practice is all aspects of litigation, arbitration and extensive trial preparation for product liability, personal injury, employment, government tort liability, construction and elder abuse cases. Jo provides complete litigation support, including preparation of summaries of medical records and deposition testimony, trial exhibit and jury instruction preparation, assembly and completion of memorandums of costs and other post-trial and appellate documents, as well as communication with clients and expert witnesses.

Jo has worked on numerous construction defect and claims matters, wrongful death and employment cases and personal injury litigation. She also assists in the defense of city and governmental agencies. Her area of expertise is complex, multi-party cases. As to construction defect matters, Jo specializes in assembling scope of work and lot matrices, as well summarizing contracts, claimed defects and insurance related documents.

Jo received her legal training from the University of San Diego in 1992, received a Master’s Degree in Public Administration in 1985, and received her Bachelor of Science degree in 1983 from California State University in Los Angeles, California. Jo has worked in administration for the Public Defender’s Office in San Diego and for County Counsel in Los Angeles.

Jo is an active volunteer at Rancho Bernardo High School for the football and basketball programs.
