J. Daniel Lounsbery (Dan) is a partner with the firm; his practice emphasizes complex civil litigation, primarily representing general contractors, specialty trade subcontractors, and material suppliers in property damage claims, contract disputes, and personal injuries.  Dan also handles mechanics’ lien and payment bond issues, as well as claims for delay and consequential damages arising from construction disputes.  In the public sector, Dan represents public agencies in property damage and warranty claims, inverse condemnation actions, construction disputes and stop notice claims.  Dan has practiced in these areas since 1995, and is responsible for all aspects of case management, from initial investigation and risk assessment, through tender, insurance coverage, discovery, mediation, and trial or arbitration.

Dan received his Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1995, and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1989 from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma, Washington.  Prior to law school, Dan worked in the construction industry as a skilled tradesman and job foreman.  He was born and raised in San Diego.
