Jaye Okamoto is of counsel to the firm. Jaye received his B.A. degree in Biology from the University of California at San Diego and attended California Western School of Law. He became a member of the California Bar in 1989 and is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court, Southern and Central Districts of California, and the U.S Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit.
Jaye is a recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award for the highest academic achievement in torts and served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Robert M. Takasugi, U.S. District Court, Central District of California.
Jaye has tried numerous cases to jury verdict and successfully represented clients in cases involving government torts, real estate, insurance and broker bad faith, dental malpractice, environmental property damage, construction defects and elder care.
Jaye has served as a judge Pro Tem in the South Bay branch of the California Superior Court, County of San Diego. He is actively involved in the community and has served on the Board of Management for the South Bay YMCA and as a liaison between the community and the JACL Kids Culture Day program. He also serves as the Chairman of the San Diego Japanese Christian Church Board of Deacons.
