Michelle Landis Gearhart is an associate with the firm. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Westmont College in Santa Barbara in 1997 and her Juris Doctor from Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota in 2008.
Michelle graduated in the top 25% of her law school class and was awarded for earning the top grade in her Admiralty and International Civil Litigation and Arbitration classes. She was also the recipient of two merit based scholarships. Michelle also received a certificate of achievement for courses completed at the Sorbonne University in Paris, France.
Michelle has had a diverse career. Prior to attending law school, Michelle worked as a legal assistant and paralegal at several litigation firms. Michelle has extensive experience with personal injury and construction claims, errors and omission matters, contract disputes, and commercial related cases. In her role as a paralegal, Michelle assisted in preparing numerous cases for trial and was responsible for managing large document databases and client documents. She has experience with complex litigation in both State and Federal courts.
Michelle is a member of the California State Bar, the San Diego County Bar Association, and Lawyers Club of San Diego. She is also admitted to practice law in the Southern District of the United States District Court.
